Add air conditioning to a classic car or custom vehicle

VEHICLE UPGRADES

Add air conditioning to a classic car or custom vehicle

You do not need to know HVAC part numbers before you start. Define the cabin, available voltage and mounting space, then choose either a complete package or a matched split system.

BEST STARTING POINT

A complete or matched split system with compressor, condenser, evaporator, controls, pressure protection, receiver drier and refrigerant lines.

SYSTEM APPROACH

How this comes together

01

Simplest route

Choose a complete or quoted kit sized for the cabin. This reduces component matching and gives the installer one agreed scope.

02

Flexible route

Build around an MD18 or MD24 electric compressor when the vehicle layout needs separate components.

03

Installation route

Have the final hose crimping, evacuation, charge, TX valve selection and pressure testing completed by an automotive A/C technician.

BEFORE BUYING

Information that confirms the selection

Provide what you know. Unknown items can be resolved during technical review.

  • Vehicle make, model and cabin type
  • 12 V or 24 V electrical system
  • Alternator output and usable battery capacity
  • Available condenser, evaporator and compressor space
  • Cooling required while driving, parked or both

CONFIGURED PROJECT

Need the parts confirmed as one system?

Send the application, voltage, available power, operating environment, required duty and installation constraints. We will review the configuration before quoting.
