Reduce engine idling while cooling personnel or deployed equipment

DEFENCE & GOVERNMENT

Reduce engine idling while cooling personnel or deployed equipment

Stopping the engine changes the project from a cooling-only decision to an energy-storage and recharge decision. Separate occupied-space cooling from equipment cooling, then define endurance and deployment conditions.

BEST STARTING POINT

A DC or portable package selected with a verified thermal load, operating profile, energy source, recharge method and redundancy requirement.

SYSTEM APPROACH

How this comes together

01

Occupied space

Define people, enclosure, solar load, doors and target temperature.

02

Equipment load

List continuous heat rejection, allowable temperature and failure response separately.

03

Deployment energy

Set silent-watch duration, battery reserve, generator/vehicle recharge and transport constraints.

BEFORE BUYING

Information that confirms the selection

Provide what you know. Unknown items can be resolved during technical review.

  • Platform, shelter or tent description
  • Personnel and equipment heat loads
  • Ambient range and endurance target
  • Available DC/AC power and energy storage
  • Noise, signature and redundancy requirements
  • Deployment, transport and support constraints

CONFIGURED PROJECT

Need the parts confirmed as one system?

Send the application, voltage, available power, operating environment, required duty and installation constraints. We will review the configuration before quoting.
