BUYING GUIDE

Start with the original identity.

A useful replacement enquiry connects the part number to the system, the installation and the function it performs.

01

Read the complete label

Record manufacturer, full model/part number, voltage, serial number and revision where present. Include suffixes rather than shortening the reference to a family name.

02

Photograph the useful details

Provide an overview of the installed unit and clear views of its nameplate, mounting, electrical connectors and refrigerant connections. Keep labels associated with the correct assembly.

03

Describe the existing system

Identify the related compressor, condenser, evaporator and controls where known. Note any previous changes and the original vehicle or equipment application.

04

Explain the reason for replacement

State whether the request concerns damage, a reported fault, planned maintenance or a changed operating requirement. Include symptoms and operating conditions without assuming a diagnosis.

05

Confirm the supported replacement

A successor or alternative needs its function, supply, connections, controls and physical fit reviewed. Keep the original part number in the enquiry until the new configuration is agreed.
