BUYING GUIDE

Bring engineering and purchasing into one brief.

A project enquiry is easier to review when the required function, proposed supply and acceptance requirements are recorded together.

01

Define the application and duty

Identify the vehicle platform or enclosure, intended use, operating environment and spaces to be cooled or heated. Separate crew comfort from equipment temperature requirements.

02

Record the interfaces

Provide main supply, control interfaces, mounting space, airflow paths and any retained components. State whether the proposed system is primary, auxiliary, engine-off or part of a defined standby arrangement.

03

Separate first installation from repeat demand

List the initial quantity, intended evaluation stage and possible later quantities. A repeat order should reference the agreed configuration and document revision rather than only the family name.

04

Define the documentation

Specify which datasheets, drawings, wiring records, installation instructions and supporting test evidence are required. Evidence must apply to the selected model and test scope.

05

Agree the commercial scope

Include destination, target dates and any packaging or delivery requirements. The quotation should identify exact configurations, supplied items, exclusions and the agreed next steps.

Use the checklist to prepare your enquiry. Installation and technical requirements still need to be confirmed for the selected equipment.
